associate degrees

Associate’s degrees represent the equivalent of finishing freshman and sophomore courses at a four-year university. Although they represent two years of schooling, they can often be earned online in just one year. Students can choose between online associates degree programs and hybrid programs that include some on-campus sessions.

Some students earn the associate’s degree in order to transfer to four-year schools. By performing well in online programs, they establish reputations as students with potential for college success. Popular options include Associate degree in  Arts, Associates degree in Applied Science , and Associate of Fine Arts degree programs.

Other students earn the online degree as professional training and enter the work force upon graduation. Online associate training programs prepare students for bookkeeping, child development, construction management, graphic design, and dozens of other careers.

Associate degrees are normally 2-year degrees, like those conferred at community colleges. Once you get an associate’s degree, you clearly need another 2 years or 60 credit hours to earn a bachelor’s degree, or you can go into the workforce at the entrance level.
