Associate Degrees

associate degreesAssociate degrees are two year degrees that you can earn online or at campus schools. When you earn your associate degree, you need another 2 years to earn your bachelors degree. Depending on the field that you are interested in, an online associate degree will gain you entry level positions in the work place. Associate degrees are available at  online colleges and allow you to study whenever you like and earn your degree at your own pace.

An associate degree is a degree requiring a minimum of 60 semester credit hours. Associate degree programs consist of three parts: general Associate education requirements, major requirements and electives. You can finish an online associate degree at your own pace. Full-time study is equal to four semesters at 15 credits hours per semester-about five classes per semester. This takes about two years to complete with summers off. Faster online associate degree programs are also available. Online  degrees require the same dedication as on-campus associate degrees, but they can be done entirely on the Internet, from the calm of your home.

Associate degrees are awarded by community, junior and technical colleges, representing that you have completed a program of study that includes core general education courses and a concentration of courses in a detailed area. Your degree may be in an occupational area, such as electrical engineering, or in the liberal arts, such as English or humanities.
